I can see the arguments for both sides, it’s just the group we have now isn’t that promising. Bringing in Giannis to partner with Barnes seems like you’re getting closer to a chip than going with what we have, even looking a few years down the line IMO.

With Giannis here, we’d have a much better chance of attracting other players.

I prefer getting Giannis and building around him than going with what we have right now. If he wants to be here a trade makes sense with Masai coveting him for years. But, as mentioned, if we’re bidding against the Nets it’ll be difficult.

Brooklyn has a ton of picks they could trade, it would be hard to outbid them.
