We thought that. But I don't think it was received well by the people who matter. I agree she should have done the podcasts but if I had to bet, I'd say that lofs feed would have been loaded with clips making fun of her. And it wouldn't have helped.
Clearly should have done it now in hindsight...
I also think she just isn't likeable enough to Americans. Which alone makes her a mediocre politician. It's a popularity contest and she's up against a reality TV sensation. David vs Goliath.
One of Trump's policies was literally to put the US into a crippling recession (deflation). This is what we're working with here and this is why it's hard for me to know what would have worked. We're dealing with a country loaded with stupid people here. And it's tough to think like them.
Hey I'm not saying she was great! I'm just saying I don't think talking more policy would have gotten her a w. Trump's campaign was an absolute circus. And beyond him going on popular podcasts (which was brilliant), the McDonalds and garbage truck events were pretty damn impressive. He's a...
While trump was working at McDonald's and doing a presser in a garbage truck, Kamala was talking policy and defending herself from his attacks. Maybe the lesson is that capturing your audience is way more important than telling Americans your plan?
And also be a male.
His policies are all dumb as fuck tho. And most will likely never happen. I'm a big believer in big muscles. They should have leaned into Walz's masculinity more... Though he turned out to be more flamboyant than I hoped for.
I mostly agree with the guy who said they should have made The Rock run. Beefy muscular masculinity sells right now. Dems need to pick up on the trends. There's nothing maga likes more than hot dudes with big muscles. That's how you get them on the blue team.
These polls have small samples. Contradicting is to be expected. That's why I said look at the aggregates. We don't know which direction the MOE will sway to, but it's the best indicator we have. Everything else was once again proven to be nonsense.
No. That's breaking the rule of #3. It's wrong. Don't do that. Only metric that was reliable were the poll aggregates. They nailed 'em. Doesn't mean they always will, but they had a nice election.
If we've all learned some lessons I hope that they're:
1. No more crosstabs
2. No more crowd sizes
3. No more anecdotes
4. No more delusional dem fanboys like Bouzy
Look at the polls. You don't have to take them seriously, but it's all we've got to look at.
