As this new season relentlessly edges towards maturity I, for one, see absolutely nothing in this current iteration of Leafdom to suggest any more success than last years failure. This is not a hungry franchise.
I have no optimism thus far. We are gonna go into this season with the same 4 playoff deficient underachievers as last season. You know, getting to watch the Oilers in the playoffs really, really highlighted the drive needed to do well in the playoffs...and Toronto is …again....sadly going to...
Anyone that couldn't see losing Hyman and Kadri was a bad move is not interested in having The Leafs win a cup. They see this team as a franchise and not a legit hockey team.
So we should stop spending way too much on too few people and instead spend some serious coin to get grade A goalies. I'd be happy to give less....a lot less....to those "star" players who continually seem to disappoint in the playoff rounds.
