Sasaki is the easiest option to be all in on, since you're capped in what you can spend. The only caveat is whether the team has any IAFA commitments already that they might be willing to break.

The problem is people have gone down the rabbit hole, I'm just not sure that people will be able to admit they were duped. And given all the fake news and setups, I think there's a good chance they might try the shenanigans in 4 years if they "lose", and you know Vance, the court, and co will...

I expect him to last, because unlike Biden, he's not really going to actually care about stuff and stress about the job. He'll let everyone else do all the hard work and he'll just tweet his nonsense from the toilet like always.

I don't have an issue with it. Who cares about being nice or whatever, not like the Republicans play by any rules or norms anymore. Might as well get it out of the way now.

You mean the video interview where a journalist sat down 3 times with some random CIA guy whose job apparently is to sign contracts, but who seemed super happy to share all of these entrapments the CIA does internally? Personally, I have doubts that someone whose job is supposedly basically...

Deferred money doesn't really matter. It's basically just the team and player agreeing on the terms of a loan. MLB itself has some pretty set rules for how to treat those for CBT purposes. In the end it's mostly a tool for agents to brag about a higher number. So Ohtani can be a 700m player...

Yeah, if we want to put a sin tax on sugar and fat, and use that to subsidize healthier foods, gyms, and stuff like that, I'm for that as well. No reason you can't try to fight this from all angles. Let's at least start by killing the subsidies to the corn industry that's putting high-fructose...

Yeah, like sure it would be great to get all the processing out of food, and get people on a healthier lifestyle. But if Ozempic actually works for a large group of people, it could be absolutely revolutionary to combatting one of the biggest diseases out there. Now, I'm not sure it's 100% ready...

If you asked the average 18 year old college kid how much of the principle they would pay after any length of time with a standard interest rate, I bet most people would not pick anywhere close to the value. Finance is basically not taught to kids. You need to either spend as much as you do in...

Yeah, US student loans are just batshit crazy. I can't imagine graduating with hundreds of thousands in loans, other than going to a field where you know you're making 100k+ right out of school. Never mind that most of the loan forgiveness programs are in the "if you pay your loan reliably for...

Leftists don't want abortions. I think if we could have a society where they were never needed, that would be fantastic. But you need the option to have them. And when you create many complications to figure out what exception you're dealing with in a situation to understand whether you can do...

Yeah, frankly nobody should be going into so much debt outside of like medicine. But people are idiots at 18, and it's frankly idiotic that we let people make decisions that can have such terrible future implications at that age. So giving people some relief so they can get out of poverty and...

Not sure why I watched that, but the interrogation seemed quite normal, trying to figure out his side of what happened. But yeah, if you keep a guy in a choke hold for 6 minutes... I mean, the prosecutors obviously thought they had enough testimonials and evidence that the guy went way too far...

Another theory is this was just an excuse to resign to avoid the ethics report. He'll go back to take his seat again in January, but I'd guess the new house will either not be able to release it or have a better chance of killing it.

In Canada, they set the poverty line based on being able to afford a set of basic goods. Looking around a bit, it seems to be around 25k per year, which is probably around a 17$ minimum wage, give or take.
