Yeah, Evans is having a career year. I don't expect him to repeat a 31% shooting percentage. Gourde is pretty much on pace for his normal stats, and has some of the best analytics on the Kraken. But my point was just to show that there is some options.

I like Evans too, but last year I was starting to get over him, but he finished the season well and has been playing exceptionally well this year. I prefer going with the player we know in general. And I think you're underestimating Gourde, that guy is a beast. Got to watch him live many times...

That’s a bit rich for me. My biggest issue is that he’s probably getting pushed out the team by year 3 of his contract. Lots of things can happen but we’re likely looking at Suzuki, Dach, Hage, Beck and even Kapanen by then at center. 5x4 will make him difficult to trade.
