    RBA Re-signs

This is the least surprising news to anyone who closely follows the Canes. Glad they wrapped this up and hope the conversations about how we can be more "relevant" in the playoffs ensues within the Canes management team.

Carolina Hurricanes 2024 Summer Talk ... press the reset button?

I don't think we need to go "all in" for 2025 or "step back" for 2026. I think we're going to have a really good, competitive team even after some significant faces get jobs with other teams. We have the bones to be a playoff contender. Just be smart and strategic - lock in those few key players...

Carolina Hurricanes 2024 Summer Talk ... press the reset button?

Priority #1 for me is to sign the players we need to keep: Jarvis, Chartfield, and Guentzel. We need a better center, so we should make a trade with the assets we have (Necas, KK, etc.). Refresh the defense with some of the younger players in our system. (Can we buy out our Russian superstar?)...

    GDT: Canes v. Rangers 5/16 7:00

I too defended Freddie after he came back to play late in the season. But he wasn't great in either playoff series. I was hoping Rod would pull him after letting that 2nd goal in. The losses aren't entirely on him, but we need a better keeper.

    GDT: Canes v. Rangers 5/16 7:00

What a huge disappointment. I never expected that we would lose when going into the 3rd with a 2-goal lead. But that's what poor goaltending can do to you, coupled with an offense that decided to go cold when we needed to keep the pressure on. I wish I knew what the solution was, but here we...

    GDT: Canes v. Rangers 5/16 7:00

What a disaster. Freddie is floundering and we have no offense.

Hate the give away by Orlov but we responded well. Hats off to Marty and Chatty for huge defensive plays. Let’s keep in going boys!!

We were better in the 1st and got rewarded with a goal. Forget it and keep it up for period 2.

I'm a nervous nellie for this game but am looking forward to the pre-game tailgating on another beautiful NC day. Let's go Canes!

    2023-24 Canes Misc Thread

Reading a lot of sky-is-falling panic from NY and some overly confident testimonials from Raleigh (not in this forum) regarding tomorrow's game and the series. I think tomorrow will be a real dogfight, with the Rangers eager to put their poor 3rd period performance behind them. I'm naturally...

    GDT: Canes @ Rangers 5/13 7:00

Exhilarating 3rd period sucked the life out of the MSG and gave hope to the Caniac Nation. The long odds are still against us, but let's hope the Canes can build on the confidence gained with such a dominating performance in the 3rd. The Rags looked shocked and deflated, but they'll be ready...

Terrible goaltending on that goal. I would have pulled him right there.

What the hell on that penalty against Burns? I didn’t see anything here in the arena.

Skjei has been pretty bad this series.

I thought we moved it much better - especially with the 1st unit.

Great 1st period except for the defensive lapse that led to their only goal. Keep it going Canes!

Getting ready to leave for the PNC and some tailgating on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. I'm in a good place after getting over the 3 losses and accepting our team's probable fate. So, let's just have fun, shall we?
