That's still an incredibly poor argument. I love Burns as much as anyone, but Imlach or Day are clearly the cream of the crop when it comes to Leafs coaches historically. Two decent runs doesn't quantify the best when you're talking about guys who coached a plethora of championship teams against much stiffer competition.

There is no way you can put Burns ahead of Imlach, no way.

True. When there was just six teams, the league was not watered down as it now is. Those were the creme of the creme teams.
