2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

It's not UNC that I hate, it's the photographers who fancy themselves as writers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;P
I know right. I was just going to do a gallery but my publisher convinced me to write something. I was shocked he didn’t have to edit much. I was expecting it to come back like my 9th grade paper on Beowulf with all red marks

I know most of you are State fans, but For anyone interested….. I usually just do photos, but I wrote my first article when I did a behind the scenes piece last night. They are about to tear down that old building and build a new one at Carolina north campus by the old airport, so I thought I’d do one while we had another photographer available to do the game photos.

Please leave your hatred troll posts for UNC at the door and just enjoy your canes friends’ work 😁 click on the tweet I replied to and there is a link to my article and photo gallery. thanks

That’s great!

Biffle wasn't a top tier NASCAR name to those who don't follow. But he did tremendous work after the Hurricane to rescue and help survivors in western NC. More people may know him for his work there.
He was a champion in the truck series and the Xfinity and he had some success with the big big boys. He was voted as a top 75 driver in the cup series, so while he wasn’t Earnhardt, Gordon or Jimmy Johnson, he was pretty dang good. But you’re right that some of his greatest contributions came after Hurricane Helene using his personal helicopter to rescue people and bring in supplies. Top notch human being that will be missed

Bill Watterson published the last Calvin & Hobbes strip 30 years ago today.

I’ve got that panel framed around here somewhere. 30 years later and Hobbes the tiger is still teaching us … although Thomas Hobbes has been teaching us for a lot longer than that. The tiger’s last words remind us that the world looks brand new when we see it through a child’s eyes, and the philosopher’s last words remind us that the end is a great leap in the dark. In between, we mostly find what we seek.
