Speaking of upcoming hockey...it sure would be nice if the World Junior tournament continues on a path to being a go! By the time Christmas comes, most of us will be jones'ing for some good hockey to watch and many of us will be off Christmas week to be able to enjoy it. But in this current environment never expect anything to go on as scheduled...or planned!Looks like the Q starts up again tomorrow. Shawinigan and Blainville-Boisbriand are on the schedule.

IIRC the most contracted players the Canes had parked in Greenville at any one time last year was two ... and it was just one for the vast majority of the season. Shrug. Carolina seems to be leaning towards leaving their European prospects at home until they're AHL-ready, which is a way to go.The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are retaining their affiliation with the Charlotte Checkers rather than staying with the Canes. There are only 26 teams in the ECHL and their site doesn’t show the Canes with an affiliate. The Norfolk Admirals don’t have an affiliation, but as members of the Northern Division, they’re not playing in the 2020-21 season
