But this time is going to be different, because it’s in the northern suburbs. At least that’s what they’d have you believe. The Braves moved to the northern suburbs and averaged 96% capacity last year, so maybe there is something to it. Maybe it will work. But 32 teams is enough.
 
FWIW, Gwinnett County has a population of over 900,000 ... so, yeah. "Northern Suburbs" doesn't always mean what people think it means.
 
Story breaking out of Miami that former Penguin Konstantin Koltsov--perhaps better known for being the boyfriend of tennis star Aryna Sabalenka than for his hockey career--has passed away at age 42. Details are pretty sketchy at this point.
 
Zombie Caps, man. It's not like they've been properly good or anything, but shoving Lindgren ahead of Kuemper in the goalie rotation has given them enough juice to collect points while the rest of the bubble teams just wobble along being fairly terrible. Washington and NYI just refuse to go away. Good on them.

Sad stuff. When I worked for the Fayetteville minor league team the Caps and hurricanes played a preseason game in Fayetteville and he was the first nhl player I ever met. He had a reputation on the ice but he was the nicest guy. I still have the autographed stick from that night.

Yeah, for as much crap as Simon stirred up on and off the ice (hard to forget his skinhead adjacent fan base in DC), nobody deserves to suffer like these guys who are impacted by CTE do. Especially when they played in a league that still wants to pretend it doesn't exist.
