Real Madrid at home. Again, we face Real Madrid. But this time, I think it was "rigged": Trent coming back to Anfield for his first H2H match vs. his old club? Not to mention going to Frankfurt for Hugo's first match vs his old club? Can't be a coincidene, right?

The other draws were held today

Europa League
Aston Villa - home for RB Salzburg, Young Boys, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bologna. At Feyenoord, Basel, Fenerbahce, Go Ahead Eagles (Netherlands)
Celtic - home for Roma, Sturm Graz, Braga, Utrecht. At Feyenoord, Midtjylland, Red Star Belgrade, Bologna
Nottingham Forest - home for Porto, Midtjylland, Ferencvaros, Malmo. At Real Betis, Sturm Graz, Braga, Utrecht

Conference League
Crystal Palace - home for AZ Alkmaar, KuPS Kuopio, AEK Larnaca. At Dynamo Kyiv, Strasbourg, Shelbourne (Ireland). Note: Dynamo Kyiv are playing their matches at Arena Lublin in Lublin Poland

Well, the good thing for me is that Celtic and Villa don't play this year. That almost gave me a coronary last season.

Other than facing Duran and Carlos with Fenerbahce, Villa's draw is pretty much middle of the road stuff. Some familiar faces, nothing too terrifying. Celtic however got a horror show of bad European memories ... Roma, Braga, Fayenoord, Midtjylland and Red Star all have stuck a dagger in the Hoops in fairly recent memory. And this is hardly the strongest Celtic team of recent vintage. I'm honestly happy they crapped out of Champions League qualifying, because this is a lot more like the level where they belong.
