2025 NHL Trade Deadline

Thank you Hawks for not drafting Demigod
CBJ too, for not trading their pick, which multiple teams, including the Hawks and Flyers, tried to acquire, and then for not drafting him either. We love you Donnie (Anaheim was never taking Demi, as far as we know).

To this day, the Cayden Lindstrom love has never made sense to me. The year before his draft, he wasn't on anybody's radar. But 32 regular season games and one back surgery later, he's a universal top-5 pick?

But yeah, very glad Chicago/Anaheim/Columbus passed up on him.

Thank you cards to both franchises

A healthy Lindstrom made a lot of sense . . . but yeah, he was not healthy then and doesn’t appear to be now. We’ll see.

Good old No. 6 on the 'Ruins. But he then went to Harvard and makes a ton of money at Goldman Sachs.
Good for him.

I remember seeing him actually play live at the Forum once. Huge physical specimen even by the standards of the day. Easy to see why he was coveted. If he hadn't been betrayed by his own body he could have been a Hall of Famer.

Like, if Lindstrom played a full season and didn't have a major surgery? I'd totally get it. The same way I totally get Beckett Sennecke going top-5.

Lindstrom going to us was my biggest fear. Thank you Trevor Timmins, for finally doing us a solid.

If you saw the Habs draft video then you know they heavily discussed another "unnamed" player with the 5th pick. I assume said payer was Lindstrom . . . but we'll never know.
