Regret may happen in year 1 depending on his supporting cast

Maybe 5-10 players are elite stars who carry franchises , thats not him

Thats why this notion of a big bump in cap is all great but it needs to be analyzed for each player and team

Just think of all the stupidity we'd be witnessing today if there were no salary cap. Even a shitty Rantanen would easily get his bag from one of the usual suspects (Leafs, Rangers) and there wouldn't even be a conversation as to whether or not the player was actually worth anywhere near that number.

I laugh at these reporters , there was a dude on ESPN saying in a few years bad contracts like Zibanajed and Nurse will look better because of a rising cap.

The other guy says , " a bad contract is terrible in any cap world when a player at 1/2 salary does the same job " .
