I'd rather we draft those stud wingers, and give them $$$ (like we did with Cole, Slaf, Hutson, Suzuki)....i think that's the best/healthy way of building a contender

I agree but drafting won’t be the same now that we’re a top team…. I think we have a big trade coming in the next 18 months
 
I am already panicked about our expiring contracts on forwards which are 4 to 7 years away AFTER this season. In addition to the 8’s probably Demidov and Kapanen.

My brain is not computing the current state of affairs.

Robertson is an RFA when contract expires this summer not UFA - so last opportunity to cash in on 8yr deal + heavy bonus structured contract which maximize $$$ if offered by a Cdn team vs even no state tax Dallas
