Game has changed. A classic crease clearer with limited skill doesn’t cut it anymore. It’s more about every dman being able to box out using their brains and a good stick… but yeah it would be nice to add sandpaper back there

players need confidence and consistency....

play Jackeye from game 1 of the season, and keep playing him....give him his 6th dmen minutes every game.....play him through his mistakes....stick with him all season....yes brain farts will happen....keep playing him....how the fuck do you expect to get him to stick if you give him 3 minutes and bench him every mistake

that's how you build his confidence.

Or else, just trade him because some other GM will want to take a chance on him

Personally, i think Engstrom should play.....and obviously gotta give Reiner his minutes.....so maybe Jackeye gets traded ?

D needs to get at least one bigger/meaner guy who can take regular shifts. The only person who can kinda do that right now is Guhle and he’s fragile.

More of a high IQ defender with a good stick thanks to wingspan. Which is fine. But he’s not a crease clearer.

His defensive angling is so good. I just hope he can put it all together.

I agree. I think Arber does have the tools to be a good 3rd pairing dman. Maybe he'd never get over the brain farts, but if he did...

Larkin definitely has some chutzpah. "I'm demanding a trade . . . but you can only trade me to one of these 3 teams." He's not even a great player, just a very good one.

Stevie y doesn’t have that kind of leverage. They can’t make playoffs with Larkin let alone without. He is running out of road.
