Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I remember a time there were like half a dozen Sens fans who lived on our board who would have taken over the thread for days to argue this, but amazingly they’re all gone? I don’t think even one of them is left.

Why should an insurer cover that stuff?

If teams had coverage for it, they’d be even more lax and careless about what goes on within their organizations.

I didn't read the details, I just know in my experience dealing with insurers that they go to great lengths to avoid providing the coverage you contracted for, and rely upon any and every potential technicality or bit of fine print to avoid fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Specifically regarding Lloyds of London, look into what Bret Hart has to say about dealing with getting them to pay him when he got concussed and was forced to retire

or sometimes they just pretend they're not liable when they clearly are and try to bully you out of making a claim. that's a fun one too.

I think i'd rather my GM move a first in a gamble for a Karlsson, then have him hang onto a 1st and trade all the other middling picks for bad players.

I would still prefer our 1st and not be locked into an underperforming $10M contract, than to have a handful of 3rds and 5ths.
