Seriously, what’s the deal with all these teams trading up in the first round before they have any idea who’ll still be on the board by their pick?

Also, common belief is that this is really a top 18 or 19 draft where real skill is concerned.

that's all well and good but it doesn't really make any sense to be shedding assets to move up in the draft unless you know the guy(s) you want are available, which they obviously do not at present
