Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

If I can overlook that he's Russian under the assumption he's not a Z fascist twat for now, there's no reason Habsy can't admit the Habs made a mistake and should have taken him instead of Redenbacher

Define mistake? You guys talk a lot of shit then win nothing. I'd rather have Matthews or even Nylander over Michkov but they've won shit as well.

I don't hate Michkov, I've stated numerous times I would have drafted him at that spot, I'm saying I won't lament it.

His D is shit, he gets his xGA off his xGF, as the saying goes, a good defense is a great offense.

You guys wish Habs fans would lament this for the next decade, this one won't. Don't give a shit if others do.

Cheers.

Easy to say that when Reinbacher is injured for pretty much the season and Michkov came over 2 years before what was expected. Knowing that, yeah I guess they would've taken him. Phoenix passed too for a much more obscure player than Reinbacher.

It was a mistake before the Reinbacher injury too though. I've been saying this since the draft.

Michkov came over 2 years before what was expected.

Eh, kind of immaterial. If you have to wait until he's 21 before he comes over, so be it. Always take the better player. It's not like you guys were expecting to be competitive for the next ~2 years and it sure looks like you would have been inserting a star or franchise level player directly into your lineup if he did make you wait that long. Worth it.

Misery loves company I suppose?

Man Habs fans better hope Michkov gets a career ending injury or something because I've never seen ME more relentless on any other topic and that's saying a fucking lot.

97% of HabsFans were disappointed on draft night. ME's take is consensus.

I'll wait to see if Michkov actually wins anything. I've not seen enough of Reinbacher to have an opinion either way.

You know that there's like 20 guys involved in winning, right? A guy who wins a cup as a #3-4 defender isn't a better pick than a #1 centre who hasn't won a cup.

For example, nobody in the universe would go back to the 2015 draft and take Eichel over McDavid because Eichel won a cup with Vegas.
