Hey, I'd take Marner, but that's because with or without him, I know that my team isn't winning anything right now. Adding Marner could get the Habs into a playoff spot. But the Leafs having Marner isn't getting them anything they don't already have or couldn’t get without him.

Look at what the Leafs have "accomplished" in the post season since Marner has been on the roster.

Now ask yourself, could they not have "accomplished" those type of results without him and his huge contract?

If the answer is "yes" (and you know damn well it is) then what exactly do you need him for? Why are you considering paying him a ridiculous amount of money to stay? If he leaves and you still get bounced in the first round what have you lost?
