The problem is thinking of McDonald's as burgers. You don't want too much of their "meat" in any bite. I finally broke down and had the first quarter pounder of my life the other day and....it's just a shitty burger.

The Big Mac otoh is an exquisitely balanced perfect sandwich of texture and flavor. It's not a burger.

I will say that I probably haven't had a Big Mac in like 15 years, and this thread is making me second guess just a bit. So I'll keep an open mind and try one and report back at some point. I don't cosider myself a hero, but fair to say if there were more people like me the world would be a better place.

there was a bit there where i convinced myself that A&W burgers were actually good but tbh they're not they're just better than average fast food burgers.

in general i don't do fast food anymore because all the good real burger joints out there have made them useless.

but still, occasionally late at night and drunk, the big mac urge is overwhelming.
