Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I like them on all things except for hockey. On that subject, they take the potion and turn into Mr. Hyde.

No doubt they think the same about me. This is what it means to be a true hockey fan.

That's not it at all.

I prefer to discuss matters in reality and factor in outside influences. The amount of lazy fucks that just regurgitate "proper rebuild" is ridiculous. If they knew anything at all they would know Molson won't do it so they are either ignorant or trolling. BTW, you're the totally obnoxious Torontonian.

We're aware Molson and Bergy are the posterchildren for total buffoonery. That's no secret. So you and I both think it's a mistake to continue this charade and not do a proper rebuild.

Where you're taking exception for some reason is my calling a spade a spade. Regardless of whether we acknowledge management is stupid, the move is stupid too. You seem to be saying that if we've reached consensus on the fact that management is dumb, it's only ignorance or trolling to discuss the stupidity of any of the deals they make.

And that's purely from being a wounded Habs fan who can't take it anymore and has to just take pleasure where he can get it. I understand that. Not sure why you need to be making personal attacks all day long about it, but if you feel better doing it, I'm cool with it. Like I said, the dial on the care-o-meter doesn't even move on Habs subjects.

The funny aspect of all this is - Habsy owns the site, the site is a message board intended for discussion (which he wants to shut down whenever it goes anti-Habs), and we are in the Leafs forum discussing a Habs move. Yet I'm the obnoxious Torontonian.

Like I said, I find it all just amusing, nothing more.

This is where you are wrong. If you accept the fact that they will never rebuild, you keep your minute eating offensive defenseman. If indeed they were going through a proper rebuild you move him.

That is the logic here, not your wanton disregard for the real situation.

Personal attacks all day long... waaaaaah.

I mentioned one or two things. Maybe three.

Truth stings?

You called your "friends" obnoxious Montrealers and knowing a lot of Habs fans myself, I don't doubt that this can be true however your initial take on everything Habs is onoxious as well which makes you the obnoxious Torontonian (what do you guys from Toronto call yourselves anyway? I mean aside from calling yourselves geniuses and the like).

That's not logic. That's stockholm syndrome - gradually becoming actually pretty darn okay with your captor's actions.

If my team was obviously committed to making stupid moves, I would criticize every stupid move. I wouldn't stop at some point and say, oh, these guys are idiots, so I am going to have to start enjoying this crap.

This is a Leafs forum, bud. We don't sugarcoat bad Habs moves here.

The Habs should sign Hall. They still have $10 mill in cap space.

Domi is still unsigned though, so I'm still curious to see what they do with.

Looks pretty evident that he's gone, but what does an underperforming RFA who likely demanded a trade going to yield? Will be interesting.

Many of us are expecting this unfortunately. Bergevin has tried to acquire him twice in the past and I fear he will overpay for Hall even though he would instantly become their top scorer.

He hasn't demanded a trade, yet. I don't see his value very high. Maybe package him with their first and another decent prospect for a Laine move but I am against that as well as I think Laine is very overrated and will command more money than he is worth. This likely means MB will try it.

Dude, what are you talking about? Haha.

I've been discussing this only from a place of logic. You've literally admitted to putting logic aside in the name of fandom.
