Look at the last number of cup-winning teams, and tell me which of them didn't have players who took less in order to win?

Fans aren't bright, but it's their hope is that the owners spend everything on the team, and that the players take less to fit more talent under the cap. It's our money after all.

The league doesnt generate enough revenue for players to take max money like other sports

There is no flexibility built into a hard cap
