Around the League 2019-2025 Edition

Dobson trade looking great so far.
Also, Habs have the most points from d-men in the league

I still think that was awful asset management by the Habs.

You’d have been much better off if you’d spent two first round picks the way the Leafs did—for a big #4/5 defenseman who can’t play defense, and for a super-elite gudpro veteran 3rd line center who can’t play center or on the third line.

Apparently Team Canada execs met today to narrow the list to 35-40. Yzerman was invited in, so I'm guessing that means Celebrini and Bedard won't make it, and we'll get like a random Dawson Mercer added to the team.

I mean, it’s practically a tradition at this point for Team Canada to galaxy-brain themselves into believing that at least one random out-and-out 4th line plug and/or one overly-celebrated gritty defensive specialist should be on the team ahead of infinitely more talented candidates.

It's classic old-boy thinking. Reward the players that have given time to Hockey Canada, and especially if they have an existing relationship with the management/coaches.
