"She" whoever she is, shouldn't have bothered. Unless you are prepared to make formal, legal allegations and ask for charges to be brought, then it's just gossip. Anyone can go on Twitter and talk shit. Trump supporters do it incessantly. But when put under oath or when given the opportunity to testify under oath, those same people who can't shut up on social media get real quiet, duck subpoenas and, if forced into a hearing room, plead the 5th. This is the same thing. You can't just point fingers from behind a keyboard. The accused is entitled to know who's accusing him. So if you as a complainant aren't willing to come forward and show yourself, if you aren't prepared to press charges and go to court, then your claims aren't worth shit. Not only that, but you run the risk of a defamation suit against you. The NHL may consider the matter closed but Ian Cole's reputation has been affected by this and a lot of people have tried and convicted him in the court of public opinion. In his shoes I'd be exploring my options and if I could I would haul this woman into court and make an example of her.
