when did you get to see Matthews and Marner's balls? was it recently? otherwise the hair may have regrown. and whose were the biggest, really curious?

that Nick Folgino guy, he had so much fucking hair on his balls. really helped us, a LOT.

Dude, I’ve got no stakes in this game, I don’t give a rats ass about the Make Beliefs, I’m quite enjoying the implosion, and only hope it continues for the next 5-months.

Only a matter of time before Steve Dangle assumes the fetal position and ends up blowing himself.
 
Re-signing Hyman would have been the height of lunacy for Toronto.

The same way re-signing Bunting to a 6+ year contract is also insane.

And that's part of the problem for Toronto. They had players like Hyman & Spezza who were on very team friendly deals outperforming their contracts significantly. And now they have Bunting who is doing the same and will need a contract this summer, which he'll probably get elsewhere.

When you have a team that is so top-loaded like they are, the only way you can have success is by drafting or acquiring players that are on the cheap and give you awesome numbers. Maybe Nick Robertson will fill that space for them, time will tell, but there doesn't seem to be anybody else coming for them. If they can pull a rabbit out of a hat, then great.

I don't think their defense is anything to write home about, but shrug. Essentially hedging your season on two goaltenders that are probably career backups isn't something I'd recommend either, but...

They also have to take into consideration the possibility that Matthews may want to leave in 20 months. I don't think he's going anywhere, personally, but in the chance that he does leave?
 
Leafs will be fine. They're going to make the playoffs with ease. Who knows after that... but this start is more or less a blip.

But it is his fault for letting them get away with it year after year. That core needs to be broken up. The only way to get the team's attention is to trade one of the sacred cows that never shows up when it matters. But that takes guts that Dubas doesn't have, and as long as the team sees that he doesn't have it in him, they can afford to keep going through the motions.

I don't give a shit how often you score in games 1 through 82. If you don't bring it at playoff time you aren't worth keeping. The Leafs don't need Matthews to sell tickets. What they need him for is to lead when it matters most. If he's not going to do that then get rid of him for a good return. Arizona needs to sell tickets and needs to get an arena built. 34 can help them with that. But he's not helping the Leafs to a Cup. Shit, he can't even help them out of the first round. They don't need to be paying him a king's ransom just to underachieve in the clutch. They've been doing that since before he was born.
