Anaheim and Chicago are playing at a higher point rate than their season numbers while we're much lower.

Is it unlikely? Sure. But even one more spot helps.

In January I said 3-5 based on those nerdies you make fun of and even said it'll go to the end before we know.

As long as trashing them for not winning is acceptable, I think we're safe.

Seriously, as much as I dislike the Leafs, I would never trash them for the teams that broke my heart by winning in the 60s. Cup teams are great teams by default, and deserve ultimate respect regardless of the hate that goes with it.

Yeah, I know. My favourite was the Cup of 71, because of the glorious takedown of the Bruins. That's the difference for me re Bruins or Leafs. We had success against the Bruins, at least till the late eighties. The Leafs, on the other hand, left me in tatters in my formative years.

Unlike many Hab fans, I've never had a real strong dislike for Philly, mainly because they took out the Bruins in 1974. Loved it. And then they didn't cause us much problem later when we started winning again. Funny how one's early associations with teams remain with you.
