- Turns 18 in July.
- Dominated the world juniors.

McDavid
47 games - 44 goals - 76 assists - 120 points - 2.55PPG
- Not the leading scorer on this team. Was third in scoring in the OHL (9 points back).
- Had Dylan Strome and Debrincat. Dermott on D.
- Turned 18 in Janurary.
- Just okay at the world juniors.
- Did punch the glass and break his hand.

Like I said - no promises that his development keeps up with McDavid and I am not sure how scoring in the WHL this year and OHL 2014-15 compares but judging by what he did vs the next best in the WHL and what he did vs peers at the world juniors...I take the Bedard draft season.

McJebus has something that Bedard won't ever have: size to go along with all the other stuff. That's why he's probably better than Gretzky, as the pre-chronically injured Lemieux was going to do.

I used to say the same re: Gretzky. But you can't hit what you can't catch and even if you do catch up to McDavid he is a load and not nearly as easy to knock off his pins as a waif like 99 was or Bedard will be.

that is true but he is also a bitch when hit, will got nuts, elbow you in the head etc. I know in 1993, 99 was near the end of the line but after game 1, we laid the body on him a bit more and took over the series. You will not get many looks at McNopersonality but even in a scrum, give him a facewash, a stick to the ankle, and when you have a shot, a hit.

btw do you remember this one from when you watched Leaf games?

probably because they add up the odds of the teams behind moving ahead of us, add it to our 5th place and boom, you get 44%. I agree it does seem odd.

I know GPX will know so how is it we have not shot to be 3rd or 4th?

That is what the lotto does. All the teams better than the Habs could win the lotto and force us down.

It used to be the top 3 but they changed that after the last place team went from 1st pick to 4th.

There is only a lotto for the top 2 spots. So we can't win a lotto for 3rd or 4th.

We can either remain at our spot.

Win the first or second lotto.

If the teams worse that us win the lottos we remain at 5. If one team better than us wins we move to 6. If two teams better than us win we move to 7.

Bettman makes it more complex than it should be. All teams that miss should get the same odds, would stop the tanking shit!

But wouldn't help the bad teams. This was a compromise from when the Oilers kept winning the lotto. They actually changed the rules before McDavid but they still won that lotto as well.

You should not be rewarded for not trying to win. We want competitive games. San Jose, Anaheim, Arizona have stopped even trying to win since mid March, it is bullshit.

McDavid has the advantage in skating for sure. Bedard's shots are otherworldly, better than McDavid.
