Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

The league doesn’t need another team, 32 is plenty.

yeah...I was gonna say, the NHL (the bottom rung of big four NA pro leagues) would have to have some delusional brass balls to keep expanding beyond 32 teams when <checks notes>

the NFL (the biggest revenue generating league in the world) has 32 teams
NBA and MLB both have 30 teams each

A sport that's played by small groups of people unfortunately residing next to frozen ponds might want to relax on expansion

If they were to expand, adding another team in the Toronto area would be smart (I mean if NYC area has 3 teams, 2 in TO is a no brainer)

32 is also a perfect number. 4 divisions, 8 teams each, half the league makes the playoffs.

Happy that they put the Leafs-TB series and the Deadmonton-Kings series on different days.

Both are going to be must-see TV.

or in my case, must miss tv, unless Edmonton and Toronto are losing late, then I might check in, otherwise, old NCIS Hawaii, Magnum PI, Kung Fu or Press Your Luck episodes on my PVR will be watched, or maybe Farmer needs a wife
