That was a good goal.. The first tap was embellished and then he was out of the blue paint on the 2nd..
 
The Canes neither please nor offend me. If they ever move back to Hartford, then I'll care. But I don't get excited over teams in the NASCAR Division.

How is it prejudice that I choose not to care about teams in markets that few if any hockey fans give a shit about? I wouldn't watch a Canes game if they were playing it in my driveway. Everything about that team just bores me. I can't even watch them when they're playing the Habs. I stopped caring about that franchise the day it moved out of Hartford just like I never cared about the Thrashers until they moved to Winnipeg. If we beat the Canes in a playoff series I couldn't be arsed to even visit their board to gloat.

I hate the Leafs. I am indifferent to the Canes and they aren't the only team to which I am indifferent. I can rattle off a few teams that I don't give two shits about one way or the other.

Florida
Tampa
Dallas
Arizona
Anaheim
Vegas

If all these teams ceased to exist tomorrow I'd barely notice and I wouldn't care one iota.

The reasons for your choices, about pretty much everything I've read from you, stems from some prejudiced angle. Mostly learned behavior and I've tried everything to get it through your thick head. I've been nice, I've been a dick, I've asked you thought provoking questions but you have no thoughts to use if they're not attached to some form of prejudice.

You choose to reject it and that's your right, it's our right to ban your ass too though.

"Prejudice" is doing too much heavy lifting. I'm "prejudiced" against the Leafs because I care about whether they succeed or fail. I'm not prejudiced against any of the teams I mentioned because in order to hate them I would first need to care about them in the first place, which I don't.

It's "preference", not "prejudice". I prefer to ignore those teams rather than waste time hating on them. That's why I wouldn't even consider visiting the Canes board.

Avs & TBay also failed repeatedly with their high end talent until they brought in grit who were key playoff contributors for their respective Cups.

Avs don’t win without Kadri & Lekhonen despite their high end talent

TBay don’t win without Goodrow, Coleman, Gourde. Also Palat was always TBays most consistent & overall best forward at playoff time

The problem is when those high end talents go down to injury. Irreplaceable on your roster because of cap hit. Even with LTIR, which really is a nightmare to run in, you're not signing someone remotely comparable talent wise. There really is no correct way to build a team because of factors like this and actually when the "luck" comes in. Staying healthy is the key.

Hence the reason why the Habs' medical staff needs a forensic audit.
 
Rather than complete indifference, I have a mild dislike for the Canes. May have to do with the Williams/Koivu issue. Not sure.

Granted, its mild. But even so, I'd probably cheer for Florida in a series.
