Makar is probably the most significant name on the roster, but there are other notables. We can probably assume that Max Comptois is one, since he can't get a gig right now. Possibly Carter Hart as well.

And really, league suspensions should be the least of it. There should be criminal charges brought against these idiots and they should all be banned for life from the NHL, even the elite players.

Probably not but the NHL has (or is supposed to have) a public image that players are contractually obligated to honor. This goes beyond thinly veiled homophobia masquerading as religious exemption for Pride Night. This is gang rape. You can't spin gang rape. You can't sell jerseys with the name and number of a rapist (well, unless you're the NFL, where taking a knee during the anthem is considered worse than sexual assault or murder) But the NHL? No way. If it's Makar, I really don't care that he's a Norris Trophy winner. If he's convicted or cops a plea his career should be over. There are some things you can't just say "Sorry" for and then move on.

From all indications (and online guessing?), Batherson's going to get punished in this.

Formenton's career is toast.

And if Suzuki had been involved Count would be fine with having the whole thing swept under a rug because "playoffs".

I believe there was cell phone footage of at least a few of the players involved and any or all of the players shown in that footage will make sure that every player who was there but not on camera goes down with them.

What are they waiting for? (I guess some legal/PR reason). Not that they would be the -victims- in this, but if I was a player who was playing Playstation in my hotel room/passed out drunk on the stairs while this was all happening I would be pissed at all the internet hypotheses.

yep, and I suspect it will be hard to suspend anyone unless there is an actual charge, then again, the NFL runs kangaroo courts so maybe Bettman will too

if you know you are innocent, why do you care I guess, although yeah they are all being painted with the same brush by some on SM like balless Ian Kennedy.

I do admire them for not turning on each other though, usually in these situations people all go rat.

We dont know if all parties involved were hammered

I know players who played junior who were followed by women groupies who wanted action to say , " I got it on with hockey players " .

Need a Rick Westhead documentary on this one
