If they put Kane on LITR they can match for Broberg.

Trading for Podkolzin seems to suggest they are not gonna match for Holloway unless they do something else (buy out Perry?)
 
Perry is just an example. Could be someone else. The reality for the Oilies is that the ground shifted after they inked those deals.
 
Laine + McGroarty + Askarov would make for a stellar Habs offseason ….

- Laine at full cap hit for Dvorak + Harris

- McGroarty for Mailloux

- Askarov for Barron + Primeau + later of Habs / Cgy 2025 1st rounder (top-15 protected)

Broberg was played in the western final and SCF without being an injury replacement. So they probably fucked that up real good. Point being they intentionally played a worse lineup until it matter the most.

Get as many good goalies as you can.

Not sure that is askarov anyway but he is an example of how even the great goalie prospects can fail to live up to expectation
