Around The League: Regular Season 2025-26

Patrick Roy has quietly established himself as a good coach in this league with the Islanders. Not just this year. And quietly may be the most surprising element of all. There doesn't seem to have been many complaints during his time there.

We just don't follow the Islanders closely. He can coach but it is a circus around him still. The confrontation with Rantanen after Romanov hit. That is in the media for weeks in Montreal . Big clashes with Duclair where he requested leave. Not getting on with Dobson. He cant help but be major part of the story. Good for the Islanders distracting in Montreal.

He didn’t like Dobson so I thank him for that

He has gotten the most out of that rather bland group of players during his time there I think. There seems to be a degree of stability, regardless of who dislikes whom. I don't sense a big fuss.
