I don't think Tre has the stones to axe Berube this early. Unless it's coming from above.
 
Leafs need to get out of the weird staggered Coach/GM cycle. Stop carrying over the trash that couldn’t succeed.

Sheldon should have been gone after that MTL series and Dubie ate it first.
 
any new GM hired now would still be in the situation Treliving has created. I'd stop short of saying it's an unattractive job, but it's a pretty bad on-paper situation to start with in terms of assets.
 
It was tough to be too alarmist about any single tre signing or trade but when you look at them together, they're fucking staggering. He depleted every single decent asset this team had to load the roster with 3rd pair d and bottom 6 forwards. It's absolute insanity.

They're fucked. Entirely fucked. And there's no easy way out of it.

Intelligence gets out of everything.

If they just hire someone smart for once, they will figure it out.

There will need to be a few trades, and some serious trusting of younger players for once.
