I actually think this team isn't that bad. Just playing a horrible system with a god-awful GM. Get people in that know what they are doing, and maybe they can turn it around. They do have legit talent.

And it needs a good GM to pull that off and a new coach to execute.

It's entirely possible that Berube's defensive system falls apart if we activate the defence....and not activating the defence was a huge problem with the offence last year.

Because Berube's defence was pretty junk last year, it just got really good goaltending.

Impacting the roster is hard when free agency is shit and teams only trade rentals at the deadline. But the nerds are still finding value in the scrap heap.
