Half the forwards injured. Lines full of kids. Against a really good team. Gonna be fun. I like our chances.

Berube could have done the easy thing with all these offdays, with a really good Knights team followed by a weaker Utah team on sunday, and with Stoly still red hot and Woll just ok........he could have just gone with Stolarz for the 2nd game in a row, and maybe saved Woll for the weaker team.

But instead he stuck to his platoon guns and stuck with the rotation and Woll goes tonight against the knights. This could backfire but imo this is the right call for the longterm. Just keep rotating them every single game. Don't think about. Don't try to get cute and ride the hot hand. Just play them both so they both know that neither of them needs to be the starter, and the both know they're getting right back in after the next game off. Keeps both goalies in the perfect headspace, and keeps them both as healthy as possible.

Benoit is also in for Hak. Hak didn't play much in the 2nd half of last game so maybe his knee is barking already. Or maybe he just hasn't been good enough.

The lines are a bit of a guess. We do know that Holmberg will start at C at least. That could mean in Domi's slot, or maybe they decide to give Minten a shot with Willy. We'll see. My best guess:

I did watch their last game, wasn’t impressed, not sure how they managed to be on top, maybe west being shit helping

This might be our best lineup if you just insert Matty in, move Holmberg down, and bump Dewar.

I'd love for these kids to turn Domi into an expensive bottom sixer, or just get him off the team altogether. If I like him for a minute, it's always followed by hating him for a few minutes after that.

basically their top line and PP got off to an insane starts offensively. Mostly Eichel and Stone.

Since Stone was injured, tho, they've only gone 2-2-1, with the 2 wins being vs ANA and UTA.

And overall they've been good not great.

In fact, the Leafs could pass them (and DAL) tonight with a win.

Our crappy declining leafs could be in 7th with a win tonight, despite missing Auston for approaching half the season so far.

more a reflection of the previous top teams all dropping off IMO, but won't complain

Idon't know about the rest of you but Im not missing Austin that much at all. Have enjoyed seeing Marner come alive.

Robertson - Minten - Grebenkin

…has to be the youngest forward line the Leafs have iced since the Big-3 were on their rookie contracts, no?
