A quickie before I get on the road for the long drive home from the Boston suburbs

The Canes are skating this morning before the flight. We thought about stopping for the game on the way home but the hotel prices were stupid. Per Walt Ruff this is how they’re lined up. Kochetkov is in the starter’s crease.

Jarvis - Aho - Roslovic

Well, the good thing about a two game set with the Devils is that they force you to play the kind of game that Carolina needs to play. If you don't grind, you'll get smoked ... and nobody wants to get smoked two nights in a row, especially against a team you don't like very much.

Is it perfectly ok to be happy with a split, because with the way the Canes have been playing that seems like a good result this weekend.

Made it home, 14:45 elapsed, 13:08 behind the wheel, 712 miles. Listened to the game on the WRAL SportsFan app. Mike and Tripp were unlistenable, as usual. For some strange reason, I got a lot of commercials from suburban Philly.
