The Devils won in Montreal last night and closed to within 2 points of the Canes. The Canes will still be in first even with a loss, they still have 1 game in hand. Jack Hughes leads with 36 goals, Dougie Hamilton has 44 assists. Vitek Vancek has started 38 games in goal and we’ll see him tonight. He’s at 2.55/.907. He’s backed up by Akira Schmid, with Mackenzie Blackwood injured again. The Devils are 4th in goals per game, but lead the league since January 1. They’re 6th in goals against. They’re 14th on the PP and 10th on the PK.
