The tour of Ontario ends in the Ottawa suburbs.
Well, last night happened. The last time the Leafs blew a 2 goal lead with under 2 minutes left was in 2007…against the Canes. Aho had his 6th 3 point game of the season, Jarvis scored in his 2nd straight, both new guys hit the scoresheet and Guentzel won it in the skills competition. Continuing the goalie rotation, Andersen should go tonight, I’d expect Martin as the backup again.
Now that the deadline has passed and the pressure is off, the Sens are winning. They’re 3-6-1 in their last 10, but all 3 of those wins have been in their last 3 games, including last night on Long Island. They’re still last in the Atlantic, 1 point behind the Habs with 2 games in hand. Brady Tkachuk has 30 goals, including a hat trick last night, Tim Stutzle has 47 assists and is averaging nearly a point per game. He has 5 points in those 3 wins. They lost Josh Norris for the season again. Joonas Korpisalao played last night, so we’ll see old friend Anton Forsberg in goal tonight. He's at 3.21/.891 in 23 games this season. The Sens are 14th in goals per game and 28th in goals against, but they’ve only allowed 6 in their last 3 games. Their special teams are bad, 27th on the PP, 31st on the PK.
Black jerseys again tonight. Bally Sports South for TV.
