Do you know the way to San Jose?

The Canes look to extend their winning streak to 8 games in San Jose. The wounded are getting healthier. Svech practiced in a yellow jersey, Orlov was a full participant, even William Carrier made a pre-practice appearance on the ice. This is how they practiced yesterday. Odd that the 2nd and 3rd pairs are different than how they’ve been. I guess Orlov will play on his off side? On the 3rd pair, Chatty and Walker have both played their off side when playing together, sometimes on the same shift.

Jarvis - Aho - Blake
Hall - Kotkaniemi - Roslovic
Martinook - Staal - Stankoven
Robinson - Jankowski - Jost

Slavin - Burns
Gostisbehere - Orlov
Chatfield - Walker

Andersen was listed first, I assume he’s starting, that also keeps the rotation working. Brent Burns will play his 911th consecutive game, moving him to 5th all-time, passing Canes legend Patrick Marleau. He’ll pass Gary Unger next week for 4th.

The Sharks were the first team eliminated from the playoffs. They’re last in points, last in points percentage, last in goal differential. Tyler Toffoli leads with 25 goals, rookie Macklin Celebrini has 21. Williams Eklund leads with 35 assists. In goal, the Sharks already announced that Georgi Romanov will make his NHL debut. He’s played 21 games for AHL San Jose and is at 3.10/.905. Rookie goalie, NHL debut, we know what that means, right? The Sharks are 30th in goals per game, last in goals against. They’re 22nd on the PP but since returning from the 4 Nations break, they’re 6th at 30%. They’re 26th on the PK.

FanDuel for TV.
