Spot on. Out of town so only saw the Wednesday night fight portion of the game. But I was screaming at the stupid comments from Olzcyk who not only said dumb things but kept repeating them ad nauseum. He should have provided some context - like the Caps were embarrassed at getting their asses handed to them and decided to go head-hunting the rest of the game. What an asshole.
Honestly, I'm increasingly frustrated that they keep trotting out Olzcyk as a color guy on national broadcasts. He's just not very good, and is REALLY poorly prepared when he's not doing a Blackhawks or Kraken game. And his grasp of the Hawks diminishes as the roster turns over following his departure from their booth. All the national color commentators fall into the "narrative is king" pit, but he's particularly prone to having one notion about a team and just HAMMERING it the whole game. With the Canes, it's obvious where it's coming from and why and it's unprofessional. With other teams, it's just laziness.
