The Jackets are last in the Metro with 16 points in 21 games. They’re 28th in the league on points percentage. But they’re coming off a win over the Devils on Friday, giving them a 2 game winning streak. They’re their only wins in their last 10 though, they’re 0-6-2 in the other 8 games. Boone Jenner has 11 goals, Zach Werenski has 14 assists. They’re 24th in goals per game, 26th in goals against. Elvis Merzlikens has started 15 games in goal, he’s at 3.12/.905. He’s backed up by journeyman Spencer Martin, who started 27 games for Vancouver last year. He’s at 3.37/.898. They’re 28th on the PP at 10.5% with 7 goals in 67 chances. They haven’t seen the Canes PK yet, that will cure what ails them. Their PK is good, 2nd best at 88.5%

Not to be that guy, but you can hardly call the majority of the penalties Svech has accumulated this season undisciplined. That one the other night against Tampa was straight up bad luck, for starters. Maybe one time he took a dumb run at a guy and got called for boarding? Otherwise, meh. Just garden variety wrong place, wrong time, trying too hard stuff.
