The Latest: The Pacific Division-leading Anaheim Ducks (35-14-7, 77 pts.) conclude a two-game homestand Wednesday vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning at Honda Center (7 p.m. PST, Prime Ticket/AM 830). The Ducks have posted a 9-5-1 record in their last 15 games and 13-7-2 in the last 22. Anaheim, which will play four of its next six games at Honda Center, has won five of the last seven home games (5-2-0) and gone 7-3-0 in the last 10. The Ducks co-lead the NHL with 24 wins in one-goal games (24-0-7) and are the only NHL team without a regulation loss in a game decided by one goal. When scoring first, the club is tied for fourth in wins (25-2-6). In addition, the Ducks (17-0-3, .850, tied for sixth) are the only club without a regulation loss when leading after one and join Montreal as the two teams without a regulation loss when tied after two (6-0-5, .733, fourth). On special teams, the club is 12-for-48 (25.0%) on the power play and 50-for-59 in penalty kills (84.7%) since Jan. 7. Following Wednesday’s game, the Ducks begin a two-game road trip that stops in Calgary on Friday and Edmonton on Saturday.

Ducks-Lightning: Anaheim and Tampa Bay wrap up a two-game season series Wednesday night at Honda Center. The Ducks are 15-11-1 vs. the Lightning all-time and 8-4-1 in Orange County. Anaheim is 7-4-0 in its last 11 games vs. Tampa Bay, including a three-game home winning streak dating to Nov. 19, 2009. With nine points (4g/5a) in eight games, Ryan Getzlaf paces the Ducks in career scoring vs. the Lightning. In the series opener, Getzlaf returned from a two-game absence due to injury and collected his 200th career NHL goal in a 5-3 setback to Tampa Bay on Feb. 8 at Amalie Arena.

Ducks team scope: Anaheim's depth will be tested during the next few weeks; the Ducks announced Tuesday that Matt Beleskey (upper body, 2-4 weeks) and Sami Vatanen (lower body, 4-6 weeks) will be out with injuries sustained Sunday. "We've had lots of guys in and out of our lineup throughout the whole start of this season," Ryan Getzlaf said Tuesday. "We've managed to maintain a certain level of play. That's our job down the stretch now." Emerson Etem and Josh Manson have been called up from Norfolk of the American Hockey League to fill the void. Goalie Frederik Andersenskated on Tuesday in a limited capacity, and faced some shots. Andersen, who has not played since leaving Anaheim's loss at Tampa Bay on Feb. 18, says he hopes to participate fully in practice soon. “I’m feeling better, and I’m happy to be back on the ice and moving around,” he said. “I’m just trying to get back. It’s frustrating, but that’s how it is.”

Lightning team scope: The Lightning is playing the third of a five-game road trip, Tampa Bay's longest of the season. Such a long trip presents a particular challenge for Tampa Bay, which has played significantly better at home (22-6-1) than on the road (13-12-5). Tampa Bay beat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 on Sunday to open the trip, but lost 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. "They made some strong plays," head coach Jon Cooper said. "I think we got a little bit tired at the end, which is understandable." The Lightning's visit to Anaheim on Wednesday will be their third game in four nights.
