The Canes try to wash Tuesday’s stink off.

Does RBA do anything besides swap out Morrow for Chatty (hopefully) or Nikishin? Jankowski in for Roslovic? They’re not skating this morning, RBA has a presser at 11.

The Panthers did to the Canes what the Canes did to the Devils and Caps. Turn a mistake or 2 into a goal and then drain the life out of the game.

TNT for TV.

The boys let their emotions rule over them in game 1; they need to get that in check and play their game. This isn't 2023, they'll win some games and hopefully the series. For a rebuilding year, they're doing fine.

The Rialto says: “Brad Marchand Bless Your Heart.” (Yes, I drive by it to get to the office. I don’t just cruise Glenwood to report on the Rialto.)

Morrow wasn't good, but he was hardly the only one. If you lose this series, it won't be all Morrow's fault.

I recall when Tulsky said he spent much of the trade deadline moving Rantanen, leaving business undone. I have to think a veteran defenseman was something he didn’t get accomplished.

Hoping for a big turnaround tonight. We need everyone onboard to establish a strong forecheck. Settle down and get to our game, boys!

Seeing some rumblings that Kotkaniemi has joined the banged up brigade. Either way, I expect Jankowski in for somebody tonight. Both KK and Roslovic sucked in Game 1, so one of 'em is sitting. As for Morrow vs. Boom, here's hoping Chatfield can play. And yes, in retrospect, the Canes absolutely should have spend a draft pick on a defenseman with playoff experience at the deadline.

Of course not, and when it comes to both Morrow and Boom, the only way they'll get better is with experience. Neither one of them needs to learn anything per se ... although Nikishin DOES need to learn hockey English. But both of them need to get to where they can process at playoff speed. Which only comes with playing playoff games.

I concur, if Chats can't go do not toss in Stillman which someone said. Nikishin is the bigger risk but also the bigger reward tonight if they Chats can't go, but Morrow will be fine if he gets the call.

Morrow's learning curve is very impressive, frankly. He'll be a lot better the second time around if they go that way. Stillman? That's galaxy brain stuff. He's got all of 3 games of playoff experience, all with the Panthers five years ago and all in losses. Let's not

He was quoted as saying that the Rantanan mess tied up all his time right up to the deadline that day...so good old Mikko...the gift that keeps giving, but without a doubt another depth veteran D acquired for a third round pick as insurance sure was needed looking back now.

The problem with playing anyone not named Chatfield on D is that you have to overplay guys like Ghost...and that's never good against a team like the Panthers.

Honestly, I was putting a lot of pressure on the last game, so yeah. Tonight is where you either get back into this or not.
