I take it Yzerplan hasn’t worked the expected magic?

They ejected on their rebuild by signing free agents two seasons ago. Same with Ottawa. Ejected too early. The cycle then becomes middling / not long enough.

Ours has been good (great to have two first’s this year). Buffalo’s I am not sure what the issue is.

The old Muhammad Ali "rope-a-dope" from "The Rumble in the Jungle". Foreman punched himself silly trying to nail Ali, who just leaned back into the ropes and barely fought back. He did this for a half-dozen rounds and then, when he sensed in the 7th that Foreman had nothing left, Ali pounced and knocked him out.

Last night, the Habs let the Red Wings punch themselves out. Once the tank was empty, they counter-attacked and blew them away.
