Except that there is precisely ZERO proof that any Russian player or his family are at risk if the player wears a Pride jersey. Most Russian NHLers have worn them without incident. This is just deflection. The only sanction I know of to be a real thing is a fine that any NHL player could pay just by checking under the cushions of their living room couch. Nobody is getting defenestrated over this. Gurianov is just using this as an excuse for good ol' Russkie homophobia. He should be a healthy scratch for the rest of the season and then cut loose the day after the season ends.
And next season, Molson should have a Pride patch sewn on to every Habs jersey and have the players wear it for the whole season.
