Hmmm, are members of Tank Nation allowed to start GDTs?

Thanks to an earlier slide, the season is now not Leafs vs the world; it's Tank Nation vs. Playoffs Hopefuls.

Notes:

* Final game before the all start game.
* Jonas Siegel: the line of JVR-Bozak-Kessel will be broken up.
* Jonas Siegel: Uncle Leo is still out; so are Lupul, Holland, and Robidas.
* Jonas Siegel: Leafs did not sake this morning in Ottawa, wonders if Reimer will start given his record against them.
* Mike Zeisberger: ‏Craig Anderson will start in goal for the Sens.
* It's still yet to be determined how many jerseys will be thrown on the ice.
* Toronto has scored two goals and has been shut out three times in a five-game losing streak. They beat the Sens 5-3 in November.
* Ottawa is on a back to back after going to OT with the rising NYR.
* Ottawa is 9-6-4 at home while the Leafs hold a 7-12-3 road record.

We dont have to fight since we are not making it already or miracle happens and Leafs wins >25 next games
Let just do it right for once and lose all of them!

If you are a playoffs hopeful you'll take a win with or without OT. Doesn't matter what the sens get.

If you are a Tank hopeful (but think bottom 5 is out of reach) then you'd take an OT loss too. Make up a point.

If you are tanking for macdavid then yes, you need a regulation loss.
 
Even if I was a member of tanknation, there is no chance in hell I could cheer for the Sens to beat the Leafs. Y'all should be ashamed, if only for this one game.

I'd take a punch in the gut as long as I get to throw the knockout blow later. This is an absolutely meaningless game (well it may turn out that it's quite meaningful, in a positive way, for the loser).

Shameless. I feel dirty even thinking about supporting the Sens, period. Filthy if I'm doing it when they play the Leafs.

And your analogy makes no sense. Losing is still losing. Losing now gives you absolutely ZERO guarantee of future success.

Guarantees? no, I won't have guarantees for future success. I know one thing though, beating the Sens and helping THEM potentially get a better pick at the expense us getting closer to the no man's land that is 9th place, brings me no satisfaction.
 
A loss tonight makes me wonder if we see a move in the next couple days. All star break coming up lets the dust settle on any trade made over that time.

You really seem to take significantly more joy from the Leafs failures than successes.
