So far we're 0-2 on the road trip, our goaltending is still holding up but our offense has really struggled recently. We're not going to win too many games scoring 2 or fewer goals per game.

Let's hope we turn things around quickly, preferably starting tonight.

Matthews is still out, and no lineup changes expected ...

Zach Hyman - Patrick Marleau - William Nylander

Leo Komarov - Nazem Kadri - Connor Brown

James van Riemsdyk - Tyler Bozak - Mitch Marner

Matt Martin - Dominic Moore - Josh Leivo

Things won't get any easier after this one, we've got ourselves a home game vs the Canes then 5 straight on the road again. Let's hope McElhinney still has some magic left from his 1-0 shutout ... we may need that tonight.

Even if the Leafs haven't been playing their best, the Wings have been entering dumpster fire territory for the last little while.

They've lost 10 of their last 11 games, including to teams like Colorado, Edmonton, Montreal (X2) & Florida. In that span, they've been outscored 52-23.

If the Leafs somehow find a way to lose this one, then that'll be cause for concern.
 
Safe to assume Matthews will be rested until next week now but has anyone see any updates today

The only way we usually hear about lineup changes is when the Leaf beat reporters tweet about what lines the Leafs are using at practice.

Since this is the second night of a back-to-back, there was no practice today.

So, we likely won't know anything until they start taking line rushes in the pre-game.

The NHL schedule is apparently a new level of ridiculous this year.

Apparently the Leafs are 3rd in the show in away games played so far this year. That bodes well for the second half I think, and kind of impressive that we're on a 102 point pace with ton of travel of missing Matthews for 5-6 weeks now.

Same lineup. Matt Martin will in the lineup. Roman Polak still in the lineup.

Also I agree with ME. Leivo was one of our best players last night. He gets rewarded by seeing the press box when the team is already void of goal scoring.

Our video department should put together a video compilation of every Jake Gardiner highlight and **** up, and figure out the correlation between Jake when he moves his feet and when he turns into a lazy glider. When he moves his feet, he's dynamic at both ends of the ice. When he turns into a glider, he's a mess.
 
That's a much better effort. On pace for 36 shots.

Let's hope they don't fall asleep again
