Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

I'm not even sure what to look at in Lane's game this coming year to improve on. Is expecting 2.0 points per game too much?

Caufield was 1 ppg his post draft year then like 1.75 the year after.

I would like to see improvement. Doesn't have to be 2 ppg but improvement, even small, shows last year wasn't a fluke.

Gap control and adding 10 pounds of muscle

The offensive skills and elite IQ are proven and enough of a sample size

The question is does one affect the other?

Working on gap control can reduce offense.
Better D positioning , he got beat on the outside by bigger forwards

His brain is elite , creates opportunities out of nothing

Strength and more muscle is needed

You don't get what I'm saying. It's because of cheating you get offense. Curious to see if he can figure that out.

Todd and Arpon must be going apeshit.

Todd says LM should be allowed to compete for a roster spot. He suspects, however, that Hughes will try to trade him.

My opinion is that if you're going to trade him, now is the time to do it because the idea of Logan Mailloux may end up being better than the reality of Logan Mailloux, if people like Simon Boisvert are to be believed. His value may never be higher than it is right now. If and when he is exposed, he'll be worthless. Fact is, this team has a lot of young depth at the blue line and it has needs at forward.

Why would Hughes try to trade him?
