Not sure why they bothered to waive Stephens yesterday, when they could've just sent Roy down then.

True, that said waiving him was pretty safe.

With the apparent demand for goalie, I'm a bit mystified that we're still at 3. If there was any offer for Allen without cap retention, you would think they should jump on it.

Well they only allowed 4 instead of nine so addition by subtraction

The only thing I can think of ....they wanted more time to evaluate Roy. After the Sens game they were convinced to send him back.

I think it's a mistake. I don't think the market will get better. Take the deal if available. Don't try to maximize Allen's value. It's also hurting the team D2D.

How will playoff aspiring teams (NJD & Phi) react given potential PR crisis - weakened G position for latter and a position of existing weakness for former & who potentially now will loose 2-regulars from the lineup further weakening them?

Yeah none of us know what the offers were. I would just hope he has the common sense to accept any decent way out of this.

Allen's not going anywhere, guys. I'll buy Sal a second drink next time he visits if he gets traded this year.

*Only exception is if he gets traded for another goalie with a bad contract, can't rule that one out.

Krusty and myself have rarely agreed on anything hockey related (i've been right most of the time).....but i'm sure outside of hockey, we would agree on everything 100%....yes, even religion...but let's not go there
