That’s why we’ve missed the-post season 6 of 9 seasons.Imagine missing the post season 6 of 9 seasons and that's the second line we throw out

the 6 includes this yearHabs will miss again
See my response above as to what came first, the chicken or the egg?the 6 includes this year
2022 (Slaf, Hutson and Beck) might turn out to be this generation's 2007.yep....eventually bad drafts come to roost (even if you win trades here and there)
You're gonna whiff on some draft years...but it can't be an annual thing PLUS you need some big winners like 2007 (McDo, Max, Subban)
We had a 0.200 hitter thoughAlso, no team has ever celebrated a draft where they got a bunch of depth players. 2007 isn't remembered as a big winner because of the Yannick Weber pick.
Swing for the fences, try to get players with upside.

isn't the old line that prospect means you haven't done shit yet?we'll see....I no longer buy into a prospect unless they prove it in the show (some exceptions apply like Connor Bedard etc)
it doesn't mean I give up on young dudes like Barron...but prospects are a crapshoot and their hype usually far exceeds the finished product
Yup and hype sometimes is worth more in a trade than a future finished productwe'll see....I no longer buy into a prospect unless they prove it in the show (some exceptions apply like Connor Bedard etc)

The issue isn't giving up really, it's other prospects passing the guy in question. The numbers game eventually catches up to you.we'll see....I no longer buy into a prospect unless they prove it in the show (some exceptions apply like Connor Bedard etc)

Hence the reason why someone like Mailloux might be worth more in a trade now than later when he pans out as a bottom pair defenseman.Yup and hype sometimes is worth more in a trade than a future finished product
we didn't face the X amd media outrage over his hummer to trade him before he plays for usHence the reason why someone like Mailloux might be worth more in a trade now than later when he pans out as a bottom pair defenseman.
There wasn't much outrage when all was said and done. It lasted all of one news cycle. It was completely forgotten once the Hockey Canada scandal hit the news.we didn't face the X amd media outrage over his hummer to trade him before he plays for us
